Teacher's Day!

Since Teacher’s Day is only two days away, I shall start off my post saying Happy Teacher’s Day to all the teachers out there, except those I’ve always hated. I sincerely wish them a tragic Teacher’s Day… Mwahahahaha!

I’m so mean.

My class did a giant card filled with greetings for our form teacher Ms. Ng. I decided to draw instead of write…

P/s: I just added that nasty thought bubble(or cloud bubble, or whatever you call it) to make the picture interesting because it is quite boring ok. I have nothing against Ms. Ng or her high forehead at all hor... It’s just a little joke that my friends and I share.

By the way, our performance that day was totally disastrous!

The school’s sound system was awfully terrible. The background music was too soft, and the volume of our microphones was even softer. In fact, I suspect that the microphones were not even functioning. The only audible voice was Coewe’s.

AND, IT WAS SO EMBARRASSING BECAUSE NO ONE CHEERED AT ALL! We felt so lousy lo! Fortunately we didn’t do the ‘surprise’ performance or we would probably be laughed of the stage…

Anyway, I heard from Gloria that the chemistry Goddess, Mrs. Suganda, broke down to tears as she read the lyrics in class.

The lyrics got so touching meh?! I didn’t know she’s so emotional one lo, she’s usually quite annoying and do not look like the kind of teacher who get touch so easily.

Too bad I didn’t see her cry. I wanted to see whether she look like that when she cry or not…

LOL!

I know I know, she look quite distorted right. Cause I wanted to make her look sadder. I am so into editing her picture and doing this scroll down surprise thingy! I think she actually look very cute like that! Oh and, gave her Willy Wonka’s hairstyle! CUTE LAH! Hahahaha!

Ok lah, once again, Happy Teacher’s Day!

SUPER NERVOUS!

I can die of anxiety attack anytime now because…

We are performing a song on stage in school tomorrow morning!!!

I AM SUPER NERVOUS!!!

Last week, Gloria, Sheryl, Coewe, Krinz and I were only told to write a short song(actually we just changed the lyrics of a song) for our teachers since teacher’s day is approaching. Then on Friday afternoon, we were told that we have to sing it tomorrow morning!

We could have rejected the request to sing on stage, but Coewe wants to sing(and also want us to sing).

Sigh

I cannot stop emphasizing on how anxious I am right now. And I cannot stop imagining the reaction of the school. What if they start jeering or laughing as soon as we finish the performance, or what if we make a fool of ourselves… I’m so scared!

We might even be doing an additional song + little dance leh. At first I thought that it might be quite fun if we did another upbeat song but now I somewhat regret suggesting that stupid idea.

Since yesterday, I’ve been trying very hard to memorize the lyrics but I still couldn’t get it right! Some parts of the lyrics just didn’t sound right to me.

Especially this part:

I found that verse quite funny because the song was initially written for 5n1’s form teacher, which was Mrs. Suganda. Therefore the verse keep making me think of this…

When it’s dark…

You’ll light up the ground.

I'm tired. Thus, this stupid title.

After my prelims art exam yesterday, Deidrea, Coewe, Krinz and I went exploring.

You know those huge canals or monsoon drains that may get pretty dangerous with all the gushing water when it rains? Erm, we went to one of those.

Ok ok, I know it’s dangerous and wrong(and quite boliao also)… but we looked out for every sign of rainy weather and there was none! We were sure that it wasn’t going to rain and thus we entered the canal. In fact, the weather was actually terribly hot.

The canal isn’t as disgusting, dirty or smelly as how you might imagine it to be. It was rather clean, just a little infested with algae and cool graffiti all over the walls.

LOL!

OK! I admit, the pictures are all very act cool. Hahahaha…

Krinz suggested that we fold paper boats with wishes written on them, and letting it flow down the small stream in the middle of the wide canal.

My paper cruise carrying a wish.

However it sank like Titanic. Or maybe it means that my wish is granted…

While we followed our paper boats as they slowly travel down the stream, we saw a fish that immediately demand the question…

LOOK AT THE FISH WE SAW AND COMPARE IT WITH THE ACTUAL PIRANAHA PICTURE(bottom right) THAT I FOUND FROM THE NET!

Looks almost exactly like a piranha right?!

If that really is an infamous piranha fish, I am 100% sure that someone released the poor fish there as they are only found in the Amazon River. That poor fish in the canal was already quite lifeless when we found it, struggling its fins and tail occasionally trying to swim in the overly shallow water.

Anyway, on a totally different note, here’s my art final piece that I did yesterday!

Topic: Contrast.

SURE FAIL ALREADY LAH! I barely did any preparatory work at all. Each student was expected to have like, at least 5 full pages of research and preparatory work but I only completed 1.

After this prelim art, I still have ANOTHER N-Level art!!! CRAZY RIGHT?!

Sigh.

Anyway, here’s some pictures of cards that I received during my birthday.

From Karin, my younger sister. CUTE RIGHT?

Uh, that head is supposed to be me.

And also, all the way from Australia… my elder sister!

The card my elder sister sent me from Australia is pretty cool yet freaky at the same time. Yes, that a cartoon of the late Steve Irwin on the card. I used to enjoy watching his shows a lot because he’s funny, and his animal documentaries are interesting.

The freaky part of the card is in the inside. When opened, the card actually plays the voice of the crocodile hunter saying something that I really couldn’t make out. Quite scary right! Imagine it just play by itself in the middle of the night…

Ok ok, I’m starting to get the chills thus, I’ll end here!

B'Day.

17 years ago on this fateful day, a very cute little baby boy popped out from his mother’s womb into the complex world. And well… that’s me! Hey, what? When I was a baby I was really very cute ok…

I just came back from a satisfying dinner at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant at East Coast Park. My parents brought me there for my birthday dinner.

Mum, Karin and myself.

The most awaited dish during a seafood dinner is always the crabs. Besides, the crabs at Jumbo are really jumbo-size! We couldn’t decide whether to have black pepper or chilli crabs, hence we ordered both.

Super nice and big black pepper crabs!

Also, chilli crabs! Very nice as well.

Erm, some fried scallop + yam thingy that tasted great.

Mei Ren Yu: Mermaid(in Chinese).

I don’t know why is that dish called Mei Ren Yu, it doesn’t even taste like mermaids at all. I’m not saying that I ate mermaids before but, I assume that if mermaids are edible and if they really exist(I actually hope they do you know…), they should taste quite lovely and magical. Haha.

Before I forget, I want to thank everyone who sent me birthday greetings. Thank you guys! =)

***

As you should have noticed, I changed my blog’s header picture!

I KNOW, the colours of the new header don’t match my blog. I think I’ll do something about it soon.

Random photo:

I like this picture because the clouds in the background is so tranquilising…

ANYWAY, look at this!!!

IT’S AN AVRIL LAVIGNE DOLL!

SO DAMN COOL RIGHT?!

Does anyone want to buy that for me today since it’s my birthday? I like it so much!

Meanwhile, I can just have my living dead doll that Marcus gave me on one of my previous birthday to keep me company.

Her name is Siren.

Now, back to Avril.

My room is now like almost 50% covered with Avril faces everywhere! You people can donate all kinds of Avril-stuff to me if they are unwanted. Mwahahaha...

Lastest addition!

I’m so totally an Avril fanatic!

Ok, I’m going to bed now. Happy birthday to myself and goodnight to you.

Surprise, surprise!

My birthday is just another 3 days ahead.

And since most people, including me, would be taking the prelims this whole week, Krinz, Coewe, Gloria, Sarah, and Sheryl decided to celebrate it with me yesterday.

We had so much fun last night. Furthermore, I was super happy because my dad gave me an advance birthday present: A DIGITAL CAMERA!!!

I have ALWAYS wanted my very own digital camera and now I finally have it! It’s not entirely mine though, I have to share it with my family on some occasions. But that’s fine with me, cause I get to call it mine and I’ll be using it most of the time. Mwahahahahaha. Now I don’t have to use my handphone to take lousy, low-quality pictures anymore!

Ok, back to yesterday’s advance celebration.

We went to had dinner at Kublai Khan Mongolian BBQ Restaurant in ParkMall.

The food was not bad lah, but not as good as I expected. I thought that it was going to be something like the Vienna international buffet or something.

Mengzhi took an unwary shot of Coewe and I.

Krinz and Sheryl enjoying their food(I think). They look like a lovely newlywed couple.

We had so much fun during the dinner. Kept playing with the food though I know it’s wrong to play with our food.

We secretly added wasabi into each other drinks, and also put cherry tomatoes, among other foodstuff, into each other bags. Then we wait for the unlucky one to find out and see the person’s funny reaction. I think Gloria will be quite happy if she find cherry tomatoes in her bag cause she likes them. Haha!

Coewe attempt to look sexy with a grape. Lol! Please forgive Gloria’s disturbingly odd posture in the background.

Orange braced mouth.

Orange braced mouth again, without Sheryl.

After eating non-stop for sometime, we started to feel slightly bloated. Thus we decided to play a little game of…

FEAR FACTOR!
Well, so this is how our “Fear Factor” goes. Each of us is to take any one food item from the buffet and cover it with a bowl. We then jumble up the plates and each of us has to pick a plate and eat whatever the content is.

Exciting right?!

Unfortunately I chose the plate at the bottom right corner, which contains pickles!

The pickles were damn sour and disgusting I tell you! But it was definitely better then the next round where I have to eat a big slice of GINGER! It is so gross to eat ginger lah!

I kept having intense puking sensations as I chew on it. I almost puked! Thankfully I was given a cup of water to wash the ginger down my throat.

Enough of Fear Factor because the thought of the ginger and pickles in my mouth is enough to make me throw up. Ok ok, I was just exaggerating.

We initially wanted to go watch the fireworks from the annual Fireworks Festival at the Marina Bay after the dinner but we missed it because we had overly much fun at the restaurant. Does anyone know when the next fireworks display is?

More pictures:

Oddly, we seem to take pictures of our feet quite often.

One of us suggested coming to my place to watch some DVDs, and therefore we proceeded back to my home.

While we were in my room chatting about some boring stuffs, the lights suddenly went off. I noticed a dim orange light near the door which I assumed was someone playing with a torchlight.

Unexpectedly, Yingying came into my room holding a lit up cake! The rest of them started singing me a birthday song…

Ok, at that point of time I was definitely surprised and very touched. But no lah, of course I never cry. But I was very happy. I did not expect that at all! Seriously!

Following Yingying was my brother who was remote controlling this cute tiny helicopter flying in the air and has a small banner attached to it saying “Happy Birthday”! However, the helicopter didn’t manage to stay in the air for a long time. It hit the ceiling and fell to the ground.

Krinz and the rest then took out a present from Sheryl’s bag and double surprised me! I really didn’t expect anything at all! I did not expect a present, I did not expect the cake, and I did not expect them to plan all these with Yingying at all!

Tsk tsk, I have very tricky friends. Who are very lovely at the same time.

As you can see, Gloria looks extremely tricky in this picture. But what you can’t see is Coewe, being the most trickiest person around.

My presents!

The helicopter in flight(without the birthday banner anymore)!
Includes the birthday cake, a box of Ferrera Rocher chocolates from my younger sister Karin, the cute remote controlled helicopter and a t-shirt from the 5 of them. Not forgetting the digital camera from my dad that I used to took the pictures! =)

I am really happy. And I appreciated all that! Thank you Coewe, Krinz, Yingying, Gloria, Sheryl, my brother, Karin, my dad and mom! That almost sounded like a thank you message from a celebrity winning an award. Lol.

Thanks!!!

Ok, I’m going to bed, I still have prelims tomorrow! Goodnight everybody.

Fishy.

Yesterday, Sheryl and I had this totally boliao but fun idea.

We were at this usually desolated car park when we noticed huge puddle of water with lots of disgusting green algae formed around a lousy clogged up drain.

I randomly suggested to Sheryl that we shall turn it into a little “pond” by adding some fishes, and we both got excited. Therefore, we hurried to a nearby fish store and bought a packet of feeder goldfishes. You know, those packets of fish that you buy to feed your ugly luohan.

We’re not crazy lah, just very bored and wanted to create a little fun.

After releasing the baby goldfishes into the “pond”, we were so eager to add even more fishes because it was super cute seeing the clumsy little goldfishes swimming around!

Three little goldfish swimming in the sea! Ok lah, it’s not sea, but drain.

Coewe, Krinz and Deidrea joined us shortly.

Like I said, we were eager to see more fishes swimming around and so we bought an extra two packets of colourful guppies, a packet of tadpole-looking catfishes AND, a packet of shrimps.

I know I know, we are very boliao! But we really had so much fun.

And don’t worry, the water would not dry up quickly as it’s actually quite deep(for the fishes), and with that amount of algae, I assumed the flood was there for quite sometime now. The only dangers the fishes face were birds, or a passing car that might squash them.

In addition, I don’t think it’s cruel. We’re not killing the fishes right? In fact, we’re saving them from the hungry big mouths of luohans and other big fishes lo. Plus, they can also help by eating any breeding mosquito!

LOL, all those are starting to sound so ecological. Thus, we named it “The Ecosystem/Sanctuary”. Hahaha… Ok, we are so lame.

Of course, pictures!

Colourful guppies!

This stupid goldfish keeps thinking that it’s a guppy and followed the guppies everywhere.

Trying to hide.

HAHAHA!

Also, a very action picture that Coewe took for us.

This afternoon, we went to visit our “ecosystem”. Glad that the fishes survived the night and rain.

However, this smelly Bangala that always sleeps at the car park told us to get rid of our fishes before he report it to the authorities. He was, at the same time, irritated by the noise we were making cause he was trying hard to take an afternoon nap.

He’s very gross lo, I think he doesn’t bathe cause he stinks and he sleeps on the floor without his shoes, exposing his super gross black socks!!! YUCKS.

We didn’t want to get into any trouble, hence we decided to remove the fishes. I tell you, it was damn difficult to catch the fishes!!! The shrimps were almost impossible to see as they completely camouflaged themselves.

In the end, we managed to remove like, 80% of the fishes and shrimps, half of the amount probably died of trauma though.

It was getting quite late then so we decided to just leave all the fishes at Gloria house till tomorrow and we’ll decide again.

Anyway, my birthday is only next Wednesday! Which also happens to be the week I’m taking the prelims. The prelims start tomorrow with the English paper! I hope I don’t screw it up.

Hmmm… I wonder how are the half-lifeless rainbow guppies now…

Talking about rainbow guppies, I saw a faint rainbow while I was on the way home today.

Disappointment!

Gloria, Krinz, Sheryl and I met up just now feeling super excited.

We were excited because… we wanted to go for the Gwen Stefani’s concert as Krinz told us that there would be tickets for “free standing” selling at only $10!

I know, we are very budget right? But, $10 only leh!!! The cheapest ticket to get a seat is already 98 bucks! Which means you can save $88 just by having to stand! Plus, the “standing area” is at the ground floor near the stage!

However, Krinz got the information about the $10 ticket from some strangers when he went for the Christina Aguilera’s concert back in June therefore we don’t know how true it is.

So, we met up and quickly rushed to the indoor stadium, hoping that those cheap tickets are not sold out. We were super thrilled to see and hear Gwen Stefani!

Alas, we found out from the ticketing counter that the current event does not have “free-standing”, unlike Christina’s concert.

DISAPPOINTING!

And I think it also made Gloria and Krinz felt quite dumb for asking the counter person if there is any “$10 tickets”.

The worst part was when we were wandering around the stadium, hoping to find a secret way in or, at least take a peep in, and suddenly, we heard the loud music coming from inside! We want to be in the stadium as well!!!

We can like totally hear Gwen Stefani’s weird voice from outside the stadium. LOL! YES! Weird! She sounds so strange singing live! She had this, electronic-like voice. But I still love (some of) her songs.

While hearing her sing live from outside of the stadium(so pathetic right?), we took pictures.

Tried doing some Gwen Stefanish poses.

And of course, we failed terribly.

I really don’t know what the heck I’m doing.

Uhm, I think we’re trying to imitate her Harujuku dancers.

Enough of that Gwen Stefani.

Today’s the final and actual dateline of my N-level art piece! And thankfully, I managed to complete it with quite a mess.

Since like, weeks ago, I said I would post pictures of them but I didn’t!

FINALLY! HERE’S A PICTURE! Yes, only one. It’s the picture of my final piece, a book. It’s only the front cover.

I’ll post the whole storybook when I get better quality pictures of them from my art teacher.

National Day & 881.

I wanted to blog last night, but I was too tired after watching a midnight movie so I decided that I shall post today.

Firstly, I want to start by saying Happy National Day! I know, National Day had already passed by… cannot say again meh

I’m so sad that I couldn’t go for NDP 2007. I wanted to go, but I don’t have any tickets. The first, and also the last time I ever went for NDP was when I was in primary 5! And it’s not even the actual parade, just the rehearsal…

Sheryl, Gloria, Krinz and I managed to catch a superb view of the NDP fireworks from Marina Bay though.

Of course I took plenty of pictures, 39 of them are of the fireworks alone. I’m just going to upload the few best shots.

Pretty pretty fireworks.

Orange.

Yellow.

Green.

Red.

Blue!

Us.

Us again(in black and white this time).

Our foot. And please ignore Sheryl and Krinz’s mud stains.

Unsurprisingly, everywhere was swarming with people. I don’t know why, but it seems like people love watching fireworks very much. Nobody seems to mind the sweaty and smelly crowds, the trouble of crammed public transports, and the road blocks. Plus, the fireworks only lasted for like, only 15 minutes or so.

Well, I guess it’s probably because we don’t get to see fireworks very often here in Singapore. Right?

While we were impatiently waiting for the fireworks to start, we met this nice old lady, which happened to come alone to watch the fireworks.

We chatted with her a little and noticed that she’s rather forgetful… Krinz and I couldn’t contain ourselves and kept giggling. We didn’t mean to laugh at her poor memory at all! I understand she’s old and all, but it’s really funny! At the same time, I kinda felt sorry for her because she’s old and ailing, yet living all by herself.

***

Last night I went to watch “881” with the usual people… Krinz, Sheryl, Gloria and the ever irritating Coewe.

It’s very… Bollywood cum High School Musical. Haha! They literally sing over any and everything! There was a lot of singing in Hokkien.

I was looking forward most to see twin VJ May and Choy act in the movie. They play as the mean Durian Sisters and sounded so strange when they started speaking in Mandarin.

The closing part of the movie was rather sad, but there was this super annoying kid in the cinema that kept imitating phrases from the movie out loud. Super irritating. And I didn’t understand why his inconsiderate parents didn’t shut his damn mouth.

I mean like, we paid $9.50 each to watch the movie and there is a disruptive, rude kid spoiling the supposing sad mood, and spoiling the whole movie! I wished I could box his face hard for at least 3 times.

Overall, I wouldn’t say the movie is super nice but it’s still good lah.

Ok, I shall end my post with photo from last Friday’s National Day Dinner:

Wednesday, August 08, 2007

Ok, I shall start with the stupid weather.

Recently, the weather has been horrible. Take for example today, it is National Day’s eve and schools always have boring celebrations on National Day Eve.

We had to sit under the scorching sun and sing “My People, My Home” plus that “recollection” thing(that narrator and response thingy) for like, three times?!

The first two times were only rehearsals because a guest of honour was coming and we have to practice leaving a good impression… Tsk!

So irritatingly kiasu and fake right???

And, the most annoying part was when the discipline master started scolding the whole school because some students was singing to loudly, and making a fool of themselves.

TSK, he should be thankful that at least they are singing already lo! I was actually secretly hoping that when the guest of honour finally arrived, everyone would keep quiet and not sing at all. Stupid.

Sigh, you know why I am so against school right now? Because... my hair got cut on Monday!!!

I was caught during that fateful hair check and the fat, ugly discipline master cut my hair! P/s: Just in case Mr. Silva or any other fellow teachers might saw this by any chance, don’t try to put me in detention for calling you fat and ugly ok cause I’m just stating a fact.

Now the hair at the back of my head is totally gross. I don’t even want to describe it because I’ll be quite sad. WALAU, some more my birthday is like coming so soon!!! SIGH...

Back to school National Day Celebration.

After the song singing, it was followed up by the Mini Funfair, as usual. My class didn’t have a stall but our teacher organised a barbeque for us instead. I found it quite strange to barbeque in school.

I used to love Mini Funfair last time cause there will be “Haunted House”. Well, there are still haunted houses now but I’m sure it won’t be as fun or scary as the original haunted house by the current Sec 5s.

Hmm, if my class was to have a “haunted house”, Deidrea and Jemaine could act as the Siamese twins from “Alone” since so many people say they look-alike. HAHA! Joking only.

Ok lah, enough of my nonsense.

Random picture:

MADE IN SINGAPORE.

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY SINGAPORE!!!

P/s: I’ll post my completed art pictures next week cause the final dateline of submission is next week! Goodness, Mrs Lai(my art teacher) lied twice. Lol, Lai and Lied rhymes.

My Siamese Twin.

I went to get a haircut today.

Solely because… there is going to be a hair-check in school tomorrow!

I dread hair-checks. I always get caught for having unacceptable hair. Hopefully nothing goes wrong tomorrow, I don’t want to get caught and go through that daunting confrontation with the teachers again.

Last night, Sheryl, Coewe, Mengzhi(or, aka, Krinz, and aka, Jonathan Spears), Gloria and I went t0 watch Alone after having dinner at Coewe’s mother’s zi-char stall.

We watched the movie at Princess Cinema in Bedok. Honestly, I was rather surprised by the place.

I’ve heard many comments from friends telling me that the cinemas at Princess suck, and that explains why even the tickets are cheaper than the usual. Besides being a little aged and, having squeaky pop-up chairs with worn cushions, the cinema was actually great! And and, it’s not that crowded as well.

The movie itself was good too. It a horror film about a pair of Siamese twins who got separated. It’s very scary! And there is a twist in it that you probably will not expect. I was quite annoyed cause we actually arrived late and missed the first 10 minutes of the movie! Tsk.

I HATE to miss out any part of a movie. Besides, it was such an exciting movie and I could have miss out a critical part! Luckily, Gloria watched the movie before and explained the first 10 minutes of it to me.

Anyway, “Alone” was a great movie and has inspired me to do this…

My Siamese twin.

Hahahaha. I know I look very stupid in the pictures lah.

PSP & Recycling.

Oh my God…

Right now, Yingying at my house with her brand new super pretty pink PSP!!!

Why do you think I sound so agitated over it, of course I am jealous! I want a PSP (regardless of the colour) too! Together with a digital camera, laptop or even a new phone! I want all the cool gadgets!

ANYWAY! My dad is going to buy a digital camera for me as a birthday present! I AM SO EXCITED AND I CAN’T WAIT FOR MY BIRTHDAY. He also said that I’ll have to share it with the rest of the family whenever it is needed… Whatever, it is mine and I’m still very excited.

ONLY 19 MORE DAYS!!!

Now, back to Yingying and her tempting PSP.

Since she’s sleeping at the moment, I shall steal this chance to smash her PSP into pieces and blame it on herself for not keeping it properly, and so she cannot use it anymore. Mwahahaha!

Ok ok, I’m kidding. I’m not that evil.

And also, I’m not that dumb lah. If I smash it then how am I going to smuggle it away from her in future. Haha!

***

I was so bored during chemistry lessons today I started playing an empty plastic bottle and…

SEE! THIS IS RECYCLING OK!

Look at what, uhm… ugly but creative things you can make out of junk like a simple bottle.

Cute and evil-looking bottle.

Ok, I have to go now. Gloria invited me to some, National Day dinner. Very strange and weird. Plus, National Day is not even here yet. Hmm, I hope the food is good though.
