Night Fishing

As I was typing this entry last night, I took a break and went to check out my templates because of the number of people who informed me that my blog has some damn errors that is causing the posts to appear messy.

I ALSO HAVE NO IDEA WHY LIKE THAT LO! It looks perfectly alright on my computer you know…

There was absolutely nothing wrong with my templates(or maybe there is some problems but I couldn’t figure out) and hence I’m pretty annoyed by these unidentified errors.

Then I thought, well maybe it’s just time I should just change my layout(which I really loathe because it’s so tedious and it is completely unnecessary! And plus, I can just continue blogging with this layout what!) since new year is just round the corner and it would be a perfect start.

Gleefully, I tried on some new layouts without saving the current one and *BAM*, its gone! How fucking stupid can I get sometimes?!

I have to spend almost 4 gruelling hours figuring out the intricate codes and finally bringing my layout back!

But guess what…

Despite my crazy efforts, my blog STILL appears messy to certain people currently and I’m super furious and frustrated!!!

I already redo my entire code from scratch and even did changes leh, why still like that?!

I THINK I’LL JUST NEED A HTML CODE PRO LAH!

On a happier note, I went night fishing with Sheryl and Krinz on Saturday night!

We met up just before midnight and decided to cycle there. Krinz decided to skate there with his new roller-skates instead cause he was trying to act like Jessica Simpson in her Public Affair video.

LOL! Just kidding! He wanted to exercise more to lose weight(no, like seriously)… He’s becoming Nicole Richie I tell you.

Anyway, we wanted to fish somewhere at Changi initially but ended up fishing at Pasir Ris Beach because Krinz was way too exhausted by his new-and-not-so-smooth-yet skates.

After finding a nice secluded spot towards the end of the park, we settled down and were very excited to fish!

I was totally thrilled because I don’t fish very often you know! Hehe.

All you need to catch a nice little fish is:

Smelly prawns as bait.

The fishes’ biggest enemy besides sharks.

The skill of casting the real. The hook got caught to the bush!

He was actually demonstrating how to cast the reel when it ended up entangled to the bush. The whole situation was damn hilarious lah.

And lots and lots of patience…

That’s it! Not too long later…

Our first caught of the night!

It is super exciting when you feel the vibrations on the rod caused by the greedy fish biting the bait!

The catfish look cute right?! There’s just something about it that makes me think it’s so cute!

But I’m not touching it because they can sting! Tsk tsk…

And because none of us dares to remove the hook that is firmly attached to its mouth as it may sting us while we’re unwary, we couldn’t release it!

Trying to free it from the painful hook.

”Ok! Ok! We’re trying to let you go!”

The sexy lips of the dying catfish remind me of Lola of the animated movie Shark Tale. Which coincidentally happens to be voiced by another famous sexy lip, Angelina Jolie!

Deidrea’s ex-boyfriend; Fin! HAHA!

After only successfully catching one fish, we got hungry and thus ordered McDonald’s.

I had to cycle all the way out to the nearest car park(which was not very near) to collect the food lo, so troublesome. I thought McDonald’s been very efficient and would send the food ANYWHERE and anytime…

And I told them to call me before the rider leaves the restaurant but they didn’t! Thankfully, I was to engross with fishing I didn’t bothered to make a complain. Mwahahaha…

I know there’s a little irony here because I previously worked for McDelivery, but heck! Lol!

Happy after eating!

I tried fishing with the left over fries but it didn’t work… The seawater caused the fries to turn overly soggy and slipped off the hook.

As soon as we switched the baits back to prawn pieces, we caught our second seafood of the night!

A FLOWER CRAB(I think… looks like flower crab mah)!

Initially, I thought that my hook got caught into some rocks as it felt rather heavy and stucked, however it turns out to be a crab!

It was later seriously injured when I accidentally stepped on it. I didn’t mean to do so, it was too dark ok…

Sheryl caught something too…

Another catfish!

This one not as cute as the one I caught lo, her one looks so monstrous! Just look at that reddish purple hue on its long slimy tail and that strange ugly eye!

They got too engross with playing Cooking Mama on the DS Lite I brought along that they totally ignored the poor ugly fish.

Dying…

Dying soon…

Dead.

Even the sun came out already they still playing lo

Very beach-wedding-photo-esque.

Talking about wedding photos taken at beaches…

I think that is something really sweet, but on the other hand, the typical Singapore beach with all the rubbish and dirty, murky seawater, HOW TO BE SWEET?!

I don’t understand why couples still choose to take wedding photos at beaches lo, they should just take a cheap flight to maybe some perfect beaches with baby blue crystal clear water at, say, Thailand or even Malaysia and get their photographs taken there instead. So much better…

I caught 2 of such tiny fishes before we left.

Some of you may know that Deidrea has many strange nicknames such as, panda, xiaomao, and the most well-known one, fish head(named by Krinz a couple of years ago after Deidrea reborned her hair).

It inspired me to do this:

HAHA! CUTE RIGHT?!

Notice that I added scales on her hands and legs too. Lol! I hope she doesn’t kill me after seeing that crazy picture.

***

Some other random pictures from the past few days:

Krinz’s X’mas party!

Lovely view from an elevator of a 38 storey hotel.

LOL! Gloria making me crazy!

And a very cool picture from the fishing trip.

OK! I have to end this entry! I’m rushing! I got to go get ready for later! If you’re bored you may want to check THIS Mandarin rendition of Hot(just the chorus only) by Avril Lavigne herself!

你真是對我好 baby, baby(you're so good to me, baby, baby)! Hahaha, they translated the whole chorus directly and it’s so strange and funny!

HAPPY 2008 TO EVERYONE! =)
And, goodbye 2007!

It's Christmas!

Woah, time really flies!

It’s Christmas already! First, I would like to begin this entry by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!

Alright, it felt like forever since I last updated my droning blog despite the fact that it has only been a mere 5 days.

I’ve been up to nothing. And that’s the hitch… I haven’t been going to work due to laziness and now I’m terminated(well, I expected that). It took them about 2 weeks of my absence to terminate me leh, I think they just couldn’t bare to remove my name till now lo. Haha!

Haven’t been doing much at all except for going shopping and spending money like I’m Britney Spears or Paris Hilton. Tsk tsk, not a good sign at all.

Anyhow…

On Sunday(which is the eve of Christmas eve), I met up with Sheryl, Krinz and Coewe and headed for an annual Christmas Party organised by Gloria’s fun loving family.

I was looking forward to it badly because I was invited as well last year and it was great! Luscious food, blissful singing, non-stop dancing, and plenty of fun, how can I not love it?!

We had a filling dinner before proceeding to play Jenga, or more frequently known as Uno-Stacko.

The person who causes the structure to collapse will be forfeited to do stupid things such as, holding someone’s hand and go pour drinks together.

Doesn’t sound as simple as it is when there are heaps of people in the living room staring at you!

Coewe going crazy as she hears her penalty.

Us!

There were more games such as… ok wait, what is this game that requires you to bend backwards to pass under a pole without touching it called?

Sheryl caught in the act of stealing desserts.

Left over food.

I never knew Gloria’s house, or otherwise, Gloria’s room, was being severely haunted by some blue ghost from JuOn(The Grudge).

The following two pictures contain captures of the vengeful and bitter spirit which I believe is out to kill, beware…

Creepy right?!

Ha! Of course the two picture’s are photoshopped lah! That was just one of Gloria’s many young cousin, or niece, or nephew or just some ghostly girl.

Besides being a haunted house, it was also double facilitates as a temporary club with blasting music.

They are having fun lo!

Together with Aunty Pam.

Gloria looks drunk but I’m pretty sure she isn’t…

The dance floor didn’t last till midnight solely because, the cops came. Some sleepy neighbour complained about the deafening music and thus it was abruptly the end of our sexeh moves that night.

Coewe and me!

Christmas tree.

I also want a Christmas tree at home during the Christmas season leh. It simply perks up the entire house.

=)

Sheryl with, erm, just some guy.

Gloria with, just some other guy.

Gifts from the exchange program.

Talking about Christmas presents, I quite sad cause this year I only have 3 leh(the one from the exchange program not counted lah)! But of course, I should be glad cause last year I only received 1.

Yesterday, I went to my grandparent’s house for yet another annual Christmas Party.

I used to go there without fail every year last time but I stop doing that a few years ago and start visiting town during Christmas eves.

This year, my dad insisted that I go and hence I did. Besides, there was good food mah… Haha.

I remember that they used to organise programmes and games so the younger kids don’t get bored, it’s the same this year.

They have a “Cookie Competition” in which each of us get to decorate a cookie with coloured icing and the winner gets a present.

My cookie before decorating…

My niece creating her messy cookie.

Everyone seems very involved.

And lastly, my cookie was done!

The one with the most silver balls is mine.

Nice not? Eh, you better say it’s nice cause I won in the “older children” category ok! Not bad right?!

After staying at my grandparent’s place for barely more than 3 hours, I left to meet my friends and headed to Vivocity for a happening countdown to Christmas…

Giant X’mas tree.

Us, without Sarah who went to the toilet.

9 seconds to Christmas on my watch!

Guess what? We made a terrible mistake, the people at Vivocity was so DEAD!

No one was counting down the seconds. Groups of people were just scattered all around, boringly talking to one another.

I was like “Has it reach 12am yet? Why no one counting down ah?”

VIVOCITY IS BORING LO! I still thought it will be gushed with crazy people armed with aerosol foam sprays attacking one another just like the typical Christmas scene at Orchard road lo!!!

With no time to waste, we rushed straight down to Orchard road and managed to witness a little of what we were expecting. However I noticed that this year like lesser people leh

Like as if really snowing lo

It was really fun to attack one another you know…

LOL!

Sexeh.

After that we were all tired, smelly, sweaty, and frothy. Therefore decided to go home…

***

Coewe warned me that recently a robbery took place around my home area. To be precise, it happened at a void deck of the flat directly opposite mine.

Scary thing is, the robber actually masked himself with a stocking(similar to your twin, Ruhua if you know who she is) and arms himself with a knife or something.

SO SCARY CAN?!

I just feel like I have to blog about this cause I am so disturbed by it. Now I can’t even go home in peace at night lo… Sigh, I feel as if my life is endangered.

Wait, actually I AM extremely endangered because there’s only one amazing me in the whole universe compared to like, say pandas, which I’m sure there are at least like maybe a hundred of them right? (Ok I may be wrong about the statistics of pandas but I’m definitely sure that there are more than 1!) Ha!

Ok, I know I’m drifting afar.

I’m so lazy to upload the rest of my videos into my new Youtube account leh. Why am I lazy to do everything?! My goodness, this is no good. Being less lazy shall be one of my New Year resolutions(I'll probably never accomplish it).

Ok, I’m leaving now. Have another Christmas Party to catch later so I better go prepare before I arrive late as usual.

Merry Christmas Ya’ll! May all your dreams, wishes, fantasies and desires come true, and may mine too(I hope). =)

8 Things I Miss About Secondary School

I just wanted to blog about some things I’ll be missing after I leave school. And since I’m not planning to come back for another year to take my O levels, it’s almost official that I’m out of secondary school.

Most of the pictures you’ll see in this post are from my archives, I dug hard for them!

Playing Truant

First and foremost… yes, playing truant.

Almost religiously, my friends and I skip school at least once(may get up to 3 or 4 times!) a week.

Because staying in school is so tedious, unexciting and simply boring, we boldly absent ourselves on most Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and enjoy ourselves at somewhere else.

Deidrea and I looking super dumb. This picture was taken when we were on truancy!

Most of the time we find ourselves having breakfast in McDonalds at the airport… At other times, we spent our supposing school time at beaches, Ikea, or simply car parks.

We don’t even bother to fake ill to obtain a MC because our teacher doesn’t seem to care. Which is somewhat good(cause we don’t get into trouble).

Found from Deidrea’s blog, I look horrible I know!

That picture was taken in the airport sometime early this year when we skipped school.

Another reason to skip school is to free ourselves from the dreary PE lessons! Or sometimes, avoiding hair checks and all.

This brings me to the next thing I miss about school,

Avoiding Hair Checks(and teachers)

As much as I hate hair checks, I actually love avoiding it! Well at least it brings thrills into the boring life of a student, right?

Avoiding a hair check is really vital for people like Krinz and I because of how much we protect our hair. Come on, we’re teenagers and teenagers always like to look good right?

Found this picture in one of my childish early entries, I hate the teachers so much for cutting my hair!

So anyway, I was saying avoiding a hair check is important. And also it’s pretty easy as long as you know when or where the hair check is gonna take place.

It usually take place in the hall(or assembly ground) in the mornings. While poor students are being caught inevitably, Krinz and I would be hiding all around the school.

Be it toilets, stairways, corriders, classrooms… We have tons and tons of hiding place. The many hiding places come from our daily ritual; morning hides! Which happens to be, the next thing I miss.

Morning Hides

Every morning without fail, my friends and I skip the ever monotonous morning assembly and hide ourselves.

Why?

Because we’re trying to avoid unnecessary troubles(I know there’s a little irony here because we seem to be creating trouble for ourselves).

Krinz and I will be hiding just in case of an unexpected hair check. The girls, Xuanying, Deidrea, Jemaine and Sheryl, will be hiding because of their make ups, short skirt, and untied hair…

This is a full original picture found from Deidrea’s blog.

Our two favourite hiding spots are the stairways, or simply any unoccupied classroom.

Classrooms are usually more exciting because we often hear footsteps of people passing(probably some monstrous teacher doing a quick check) the classroom, and we would all like hide behind the tables and chairs praying that whoever don’t expose us. Very exciting hor!?

Gossiping and Disturbing!

What I also definitely miss is gossiping about others.

I know that is mean but can’t help it. We like gossiping, disturbing, labelling and making nasty jokes about other students and of course teachers. Hey at least we don’t tell them in their faces right?

LOL! From my archives!

We appoint names to the different individuals and groups of people around.

Some of them are “Act Cute Club”, “Act Cute Club Leader”, “Sian Couple”, “Big Eyed Monk”, “Usual 7s”, “Anti Daij” and “EDAIJ”. I’m not naming who’s from where but EDAIJ consist of Deidrea, Krinz, Xuanying and I.

And I’m sure there are people who say mean things about us too(those freaking Anti Daijers), we just don’t know what and who…

Recess Time

This one is classic. Everyone LOVES recess time.

Come on, admit it lah, who doesn’t love the short half an hour break that gives us time to rest from all the text books, notes, worksheets and naggy teachers?

Besides, there are people who acts like hungry ghost and dashes like there’s no tomorrow(no, seriously) to the canteen as soon as their teacher release them! And these people are like, seventeen years old some more!

Well, they probably love the canteen food too much. My personal favourites are… the western food and the store next to it.

Oh man I’m getting hungry now. I miss the canteen food!!!

S-A-R-S

I miss getting SARS in class(that rhymes!)! No, not the severe acute respiratory syndrome causing the numerous deaths back in 2003.

It is: Sudden After Recess Syndrome.

SARS is that extremely drowsy feeling people often experience abruptly and unexpectedly after recess(or a meal). I guess we still do get that after having meals but it’s different in classrooms.

Because when we get that nasty “disease”, the only cure is to sleep. Lol.

I’m not the beast hor

And to sleep in class equals to trouble depending on which teacher is around.

After School Hang Abouts

Without fail after school, my friends and I would either go for lunch at TCCC, or at the other area we call “800 plus”(despite the fact that, actually the entire place is 800 plus!).

We can stay outside in our uniforms up till 7 in the evening(or even later sometimes).

Deidrea, Xuanying, and Jemaine’s bestfriend at TCCC! HA!

Once there was a tang-yuan craze.

We go straight to one of the many bubble tea shops around our school and have tang-yuan in iced soybeans milk! SUPER NICE. I’m totally missing it because the poor shop is now closed down.

Now we won’t get to have that loitering around anymore, maybe in our ITE uniforms next year…

Detention Classes!

Lastly, hours of sheer boringness should be something I should hate. However, as much as I hate it, I actually realised that I miss detention.

No I don’t enjoy being there but, it feels rather good to think back on why I used to go there and how I spend my time there. (Did I accidentally make it sound like jail? Lol)

One vivid memory regarding detention goes back to when I was in secondary 2 I think… I spent so much time and effort drawing and colouring a blue Xiao Ting Dang(Doraemon).

When it’s completely done, I happily raised the paper to show off my amazing drawing to my friend who was sitting a couple of tables away and…

Mr. Low, the discipline master with a goatee then, walked towards me, took my paper, and tore it into pieces before chucking it into the bin!!! He is fucking rude can?…

Oh oh, another thing about detention, it was where I knew Athalie! =)

***

It’s really nice to reminisce on all the little thing that happened in school these 5 years. 5 is enough, I don’t want to spend another year in secondary 5.

And thus I’ve came to an end of 8 Things I Miss About Secondary School. I wanted to write 10 things I miss but I can’t really figure out what else I miss…

I’ll end here.

Meanwhile you can go check out my new Youtube account that currently has 3 super boring videos that you should have probably seen: http://www.youtube.com/kimjunhao/

So freaking troublesome just to create a new account and upload some videos! I first have to create a new email, and then choose a new username(which I ended up using my full name) and verifying my email. IRRITATING.

Ok, MERRY CHRISTMAS YA’LL!!!

Ugh!

Few days ago, I was trying to sign into my Youtube account when some stupid message pops up in a pink background telling me that my account has been permanently suspended.

Thus, I wrote an email to them stating that my account is suspended and I’m really disheartened by it as I have uploaded many videos into their really cool facilitating website that I no longer have in my computer!!!

After a couple of days, they replied and told me that I have certain videos that are under violation, specifically some official music videos that I uploaded without permission… And concluded saying that my account will NOT be reactivated.

SIGH…

Now all my videos are gone leh!!! Not all lah, but some of them that I no longer have(in my com). And it’s so bothersome for me to recreate a new account to upload all the videos again!

Besides, I am not supposed to create a new account solely because; anyone who violates the Youtube policy shall be ban from Youtube forever!

Nasty.

Why must they have such ways of dealing with violations in the first place?! They could have simply removed the video under violation instead of the entire account(which I think is really ridiculous) lo!

How? Sigh…

On a happier tone, I went to the ever boring Escape theme park yesterday for free!

For some reasons, Coewe managed to obtain 5 free tickets which were shared among me, Sarah, Krinz and herself. Karin, my younger sister, tagged along too.

It’s been quite sometime since I stepped into the one and only theme park in Singapore(the Universal Studios theme park at Sentosa better hurry and complete it’s construction!!!), and I must say, it changed pretty much. Though, it’s still as unexciting.

Me on some kiddie ride that deserves to be demolish forever.

Poor girl standing by the Rainbow ride everyday, hence got severe sunburns and become chao-ta.

Them.

Very boring lo! Everything is either on maintenance otherwise it would be closed(for no apparently reason).

I noticed one thing. Most of the rides have been amended ever since the accident that regards two thin girls flying out of the roller coaster. Very… efficient of them.

On the other hand, one thing great was that, I tried driving the go-kart! Haha! And I fetch people some more! My first time driving leh(Daytona not counted)!

All went well during the driving till the very last point when I crashed into Sarah and came in last in place… Tsk tsk, I’m such an awful driver.

Two more days and I’ll be back in school receiving my N level results leh!

Is that exciting or what?! To be honest, I don’t really feel any anxiousness at all, despite not studying or doing any preparations prior to the major exams. I just hope I do well…

Ok… What else can I blog about? This post is like, so totally randomize lo

Ever since my trip to Afamosa, I’ve been pretty sick(had a crazy fever that night after going out with Deidrea, and now I’m down with a horrible sore throat that make me sounds like a freaking 70 year old man) and thus I really have nothing much to blog about.

And as I have nothing else to pour about, I think I should end this short entry here.

I started this post with Youtube and I shall end with it. Here, go check out Britney Spears’ second video from Blackout. It’s Piece Of Me and it’s my blog song ya’ll!

Watch watch watch!
(That first 25 seconds not part of it lah)

Watch it before Youtube takes it down and callously suspend yet another unsuspecting poor account just like what they did to me…

For now, I’ll go play mah-jong! I’m going to hu and win the other three players money! Mwahahahaha…

Blogging again soon after I recreate a new Youtube account(and of course upload the videos)!

Afamosa

I’m back!!!

After 3 rapid days I’m finally back from Malaysia so you people can stop missing me already… Haha, kidding, kidding.

Within these 3 momentary days, or I should say 2 and a half days or maybe less, I misplaced my ear stud, my odd but nice watch(the one that my brother got from Thailand) and my Nokia hand phone pouch!

See how careless I am?! Luckily enough, it’s not my passport, camera, and phone.

The vacation at Afamosa was great though the stay there was really short. It was something like our very own Sentosa with several attractions, only that it is not an island.

Throughout the entire stay there I was pretty paranoid that we may get assault by some malicious people.

You know lah, with all those terrifying stories of Singaporeans getting raped, slashed, or merely beaten up in one of the countless secluded roads in Malaysia…

In any case, I enjoyed every single second of the three days. Or, well, at least most of the time…

On Sunday morning, after doing a last minute check on my stuffs, I left and went to Gloria house to meet the rest of the people going on the same trip(too many for me to mention).

So many of us, that the entire coach was occupied with only people we know.

Us on the coach, excited about our mysterious trip.

You can’t tell but in that above picture, I was super tired due to the previous sleepless night. I was too excited to even go to bed!

Our breakfast…

And thus we started the 5 hours long coach ride to Afamosa…

I actually liked the long ride. It gave me time to sleep. The maximum time I would allow for a coach ride will be 6 hours maybe… Whereas for plane flights, I like it the longer the better!

Of course, provided that it’s a nice big plane and airlines with minimum turbulence and good entertainments such as movies, games, music, snacks and food.

Approaching JB customs.

While going through the checkpoints, I was so nervous because I was worrying that they may not let me through due to the large difference in my passport photo and my current look!

I took the picture at 14 and I look almost completely different… Or at least to the people who didn’t see me at 14 before.

Before I knew it, hours flew by as we drew nearer to our destination. Soon, I found us at the resort’s lobby where we had to transfer to a yellow tram which fetches us to our resort, and anywhere else that we want to go in Afamosa.

On our way to the resort.

My eyes are reddish due to the lack of sleep. I was so tired but still eagered! And I think I look strange here…

And this is where we lived for the next 2 nights.

Comes with a porch, four nice cosy rooms, two toilets, a living room, small kitchen, and dining table…

Sheryl, Krinz, Gloria and I squeezed into this room.

They look like they’re watching some cheesy Huang-Zhu-Ge-Ge show on the TV but it’s not really. Much to the younger kids’ happiness, the only channel they have was Disney Channel!

Oh and! Did I mention we have a private pool as well?

As soon as we unpacked and get familiarised with the bungalow, we wasted no time and left immediately for…

GO-KARTING!!!

I tell you, the go-kart is SUPER FUN!!! Priced at an unnecessary 50RM for 3 laps(each lap was 1.3km), it was, however, rather worthy. Though it could actually be much cheaper…

The go-kart bumpy route was super muddy due to the bad weather, and it’s bounded by thick natural plants and weeds.

Sarah and Johanna.

Sheryl and Gloria.

Krinz and I!

I didn’t drive because… firstly, I’m an atrocious driver(though I never even tried driving). Secondly and honestly, I didn’t want to pay 50RM for the ride leh. But be able to be on the go-kart was already super fun enough!!!

Or maybe you just need a crazy driver like Krinz… And yes, we won the race! Mwahahaha...

Super dirty after the crazy drive.

Mud all over…

Who cares about getting mucky, we got fun and excitement in exchange! Went ahead to pose for the camera…

We took a 1 hour long taxi ride to Mega Store(some shopping centre in Malacca) for dinner at Hong Kong Village. Similar to the Hong Kong Café in Singapore…

We are hungry!

By this time, my watch is already gone if you realise(no longer on my wrist!)…

If you go to Malacca, don’t ever go to that stupid Mega Store place simply because it is super boring and BAD to shop! Got totally like nothing one lo!

I initially still plan to buy a pair of shoe and some nice t-shirts, but hor… the two storey shopping centre don’t even have anything that caught my eye… Sigh.

The other shopping centre beside it was slightly better because at least it gave us a reason to take photos.

Rudolf the red nose reindeer… has a little shiny nose…

And at least they have Giant Supermarket for us to buy supper!

Our ready-in-3-minutes unhealthy supper.

Thus I’ve came to the end of my first day in Afamosa!

The second day begins abruptly when Atwell, Gloria’s elder brother, came into our room to wake us up from our deep sleep. Notice how people are always in deep sleep when they are at hotels, resorts or whatever? No?

Anyway, we forced ourselves to wake up despite sleeping for barely 5 hours… I need like at least 10, or minimum 8 hours of sleep lo! Sleeping is a bliss…

The rest of the people were too fed up of waiting for us slowpokes to get ready and thus decided to leave us and go for breakfast first.

We reached the restaurant about twenty minutes before it stops our free breakfast, hoping to see a nice spread of morning buffet… However… the breakfast turns out HORRIBLE.

The nasi lemak was bad. The western food was just two hot dogs and bread. The orange juice was gross. And the watermelon, which I expected to be the best(since I thought that fruits wouldn't be too bad), turns out to taste sour and overdue!!!

Poor me had to force myself to finish the orange juice because that was like the only drink. Otherwise I had to drink full cream milk which is super fattening.

Sexeh.

Sheryl holding a packet of full cream milk that they stole from the restaurant…

The next stop was WATERWORLD! One of the few attractions they have there. It’s like our former Fantasy Island in Sentosa, or the current Wild Wild Wet(which sucks terribly).

As usual the must-haves in water theme parks…

The “river”…

And the wave pool…

Sheryl decided not to get a tan because she wants to remain pure and innocent, like snow white, but she turns out to be one of the seven dwafts leh… HAHA kidding.

Speaking of tanning, I NEED A TAN!!!

Too bad this picture is overly exposed; it was suppose to be Gloria, Krinz, Uncle Ben and me sliding down in a 5 person drift! Super fun!!!

I like this shot. Very Kodak moment-esque. Lol.

All of us, except Sheryl and Aunty Pam. And actually some others…

Another Kodak moment-esque picture!

Afamosa has the BEST water slide I ever tried(rhyme not intentional)!!!

These are the two best slides ever: Hi-Speed!!!

It doesn’t look as daunting as it really is because of the angle of the picture taken.

Standing at approximately 7 or 8 storeys high, the slide plunges you down within seconds at an extreme speed! It took us so long to finally get the courage and slide down the monstrous slides.

IT WAS SUPER DUPER FUN I TELL YOU!!!

Especially the one on your right! It begins with a dark hollow tube with a gentle angle, and then it suddenly sinks into a sharp steep angle!!! It’s so sudden that you will scream naturally!

This should give you a better view of the slide, but its way gentle-looking than real life!

My hair is messy.

If you zoom close enough to my face, you can tell that my expression was priceless.

Hours of swimming later, we decided to go have dinner but before that, its another round of crazy go-karting!!!

Yes! It was that fun!!!

Sheryl and Gloria. Sheryl was wearing only her bikini and shorts, sexeh!

More strange expressions from me:

I look sexeh, too.

And now I look like we’re gonna crash and I’m screaming for help.

Talking about crash, the go-kart requires an extra 50RM deposit, which would be forfeited if you were to collide into anything.

Unfortunately enough for Sheryl…

Seconds before crashing…

She collided into an unoccupied kart while trying to stop hers.

Despite no damage done to any vehicle or person, the stupid bitch in charge insist that her 50RM should be forfeit. TSK…

The whole incident is so longwinded and maddening hence I shall not go any deeper into it.

We still enjoyed ourselves and still got smeared with orangey mud. Thus we went back to the resort and took a bath, together

In the pool.

(My hair is horrible!)

There are still some exciting pictures of us taken underwater using Uncle Ben’s waterproof camera. I’ll be uploading them as soon as I receive them(and I believe it would be a long time before I get them)!

Dinner was free once again. We were super hungry and was also praying that they don’t serve us the same disgusting food again that we had in the morning…

And thankfully it’s not! It was buffet this time! =)

Dinner was way, way, WAY, better than the lousy breakfast!!!

Resort lobby became beautiful at night.

No time to waste, we headed straight to Cowboy Town after the stodgy dinner.

White dots due to the bad weather!

Was chewing a gum while I took this photo.

Now, much better.

The Wild West cowboy theme park seems pretty cool but the rain spoiled the mood. Everything became half dead simply because of the rain lo

Poor tiger.

That poor tiger was chained from his collar to a hole on the stage. The chain was only like, 1 and a half foot long, making the tiger difficult to even stand straight… Poor tiger… It’s meant to be running wild in Afria or India or wherever, hunting antelopes or something for dinner!

Hehe, do I sound like an animal activist or what?

Pocahontas. The word just appeared in my mind.

Yeeha!

One of the main highlights in Cowboy Town was a road performance, similar to our annual Chingay Parade.

Under my umbrella, ella, Ella, Selina, Hebe, S.H.E.! (ok that was pure lame)

In addition, they have daily fireworks display at Cowboy Town. I wonder how much money they spent on launching fireworks per week.

And a Red Indian show… Basically it’s just some men eating and spitting fire like nobody’s business.

This picture turns out freaky. Very hellish looking…

Oh and, for the very first time, I went to watch a 4D movie.

It’s a 15 minute clip of abundant numbers, and 4 of them would be more apparent than the others, and it is believed that the 4 digits would be the first prize in 4D.

Ha! That was super lame. I was only kidding.

You should know what 4D movie is lah, Sentosa also got one mah… Much more expensive to watch it in Singapore though.

It’s charged at 20RM(approximately 8 or 9 SGD) to watch the 15 minutes 4D clip there, whereas in Singapore, a movie of the same length would cost you 15 bucks. However, I heard that Singapore’s 4D theatre has better effects.

The devil and angels.

RODEO BULL!

I’ve always seen them on TV and all, but never got the chance to try. Up till now, I still haven’t try because I wasn’t brave enough to try it that day.

Atwell and Sarah were the brave ones!

Not easy at all!

We all went back early the second night to get sufficient sleep before we get blinded by overly heavy eye bags.

The next morning was rather sad as we pack our bags to leave. I wished we could continue our vacation at maybe KL or Genting, but didn’t leh. Sigh.

On the tram back to the resort lobby to book out. =(

Happy but sad lah.

Oh last thing before I end my entry on Afamosa, these Kaya Balls are super delicious!!!

Don’t be fooled by their squelched, soggy and obscene look, they actually taste very good(look and good actually rhymes!)! Sarah first bought it at the boring Mega Store, and then I was addicted to them!

Thankfully on the long coach trip back home, we stopped by for lunch and I managed to find one of the nearby stores selling it. =)

OK, end of Afamosa.

Woah this is a long entry isn’t it? With so many pictures!!!

I can’t wait to travel again! That day when I came back from Malaysia, my mother told me that maybe we’ll be going to Chiang Mai on CNY.

WHO TRAVELS AT CHINESE NEW YEAR MAN?!

I don’t like the idea at all and thus haven’t let her know if I’m interested. But she also told me that in some mountainous parts of Chiang Mai, it actually snows…

I never see snow all my 17 years of frolicsome life leh!!! Irri.

OK, I shall end this lengthy post here and go to bed cause I'm totally worn out. Don’t miss me, goodnight!

Christmas and Presents

As Christmas approaches quickly, it also indicates that we will soon surpass year 2007 and enter a brand new year 2008. Time really flies(that’s becoming a cliché)!

With all the shimmering X’mas lightings and decorations all over the place in advance to welcome the day Jesus Christ was born, Deidrea, Xuanying and I decided to meet up on Thursday and headed to town.

It was just a very usual, dreary, day out.

To celebrate X’mas, the Starbucks at Shaw House decided to be incredibly charitable by giving out free drinks from 1pm to 7pm.

Which also means that, if you were there anytime between 1 to 7pm, you’ll get to order ANY (sort or amount) of drinks for free!

FREE STARBUCKS DRINKS LEH!

Of course, where ever you see items being given out for free in Singapore(which isn’t a very common sight), you would also get to see a long queue of Singaporeans displaying kiasu-ism.

The 3 of us decided that we should also line up to get our drinks. Hehe… Just queue up and you can get a free drink that is usually charged at like, 6 bucks leh, you don’t want meh?

Starbucks is kind.

Deidrea and Xuanying happy with their Starbucks.

Very kind of them hor. I think I should go check out the outlet nearest to me tomorrow to see if I still can get more free drinks or not. Haha! Kidding, kidding. I’m not so aunty one ok…

Along the crowded Orchard Road were endless X’mas trees, decorations, and heaps of X’mas lightings, making the two girls very excited to take photos…

If you notice, this is the very same tree in my current X’mas header!

Talking about my new X’mas header, nice or not? I just felt like I should have an X’mas themed header just like how I did for Halloween, so just came out with that…

Back to pictures.

DD and me.

DD and me again.

DD and me, again!

And one last picture of us altogether:

I’m so excited for X’mas!!!I don’t want to celebrate X’mas this year walking down Orchard Road and half-heartedly allow strangers to spray me with foam or ribbons again! That’s very boring and I’m doing it for like, the past 3 years? Boring!

I want something different but I don’t know what! Oh I know what I want! I want lots and lots of presents! Hehe…

When I was younger, I used to turn up at my grandparents place every X’mas to exchange(or rather, to receive) presents. That tradition faded as I grew older because… it’s way boring… And I no longer receive as many presents as I used to…

Talking about presents, my brother received an advance present that day!!!

He was walking along some packed area when he kicked onto what he thought was some auntie’s misplaced bag…

Sneakily, and deceitfully, he picked it up and left.

Guess what was in it?

A SWEET, PINK NITENDO DS LITE!!!
(this is not the identical DS LITE he picked up lah, found from the net)

Completes with cartridges, games, and its stylus pen! All in perfect condition(accept for the tail of the stylus pen which has some, erm, bite marks… the previous owner was probably a careless and disgusting girl, or boy)!

DAMN HENG LAH HE!

So now his girlfriend owns a pink PSP and he owns a pink DS LITE.

Envious.

Never mind... I’ll wake up tomorrow and kick onto something and I’ll curse it a bit, and then realise that it’s actually a spanking new iPhone with a tag attached to it saying “Just for you.” HAPPY LO!

Ample daydreaming, I BETTER GO GET PACKING!

Leaving for the mysterious Afamosa tomorrow morning! Ha! Super excited!!! I hope we’ll extend our stay there(provided if its fun lah)!

And I also hope to be back with an exciting post! See ya’ll soon!

六筒

That day morning, at around 7am, my nocturnal brother barged into my room in a hurry to wake me up from my beautiful deep sleep.

Looking rather excited, he wanted me to see something urgently… then dashed out of the room almost instantly.

Still in a daze and half asleep, I dragged myself out of the room to find my brother, his girlfriend, both my younger and elder sister, all paying strong attention big cardboard box originally used to keep motorcycle’s spare parts.

Ah Huay, the extremely lazy family cat, which recently went missing(AGAIN) for more than twelve hours, was also apparently interested in what’s within the huge box…

Then Karin, my younger sister, started to go “so cute!!!” in the typical annoying childish manner…

I went over and peeked into the cardboard box and…

“OH MY GOD! SO CUTE!!!”

Super adorable and fluffy hor?!?! I wanna squeeze it like crazy! But of course, I won’t lah!

My brother then explained that he was at a particular coffee shop when he noticed the poor kitten crying, apparently lost from its mother. Poor thing!

Hence, he quickly smuggled the cute kitten into Yingying’s tiny sling bag and brought it home.

SUPER CUTE LO!!!

I cannot stop emphasizing how endearing the latest addition to my family simply is because it is really cute mah!

Oh and by the way, you must be wondering what the heck 六筒(this entry’s title) is right? Hehehe… Well, as strange as it seems, 六筒 is actually the kitten’s name.

六筒(liu tong), or roughly translated as six thick bamboo tube(which I know, doesn’t make any sense), is actually named after 六筒 the mahjong tile…

My siblings and I were frustratingly trying to find the nameless kitty a name while playing mah-jong that day.

My ingenious brother then came out with the idea that, whatever the winning mah-jong tile is, the kitten shall be named after it.

Soon after, I hu-ed with a六筒 and thus the eccentric name.

It was way better than the names that we previously gave it without any serious consideration(such as, Mong Xiong, Ah Lian, Ah Xiong, Xiong Xiong. Seriously).

Sleepy…

We like it best when it sleeps because that is when it is least annoying… it cries SO MUCH! Exactly how an infuriating noisy child would behave when his mother refuses to buy him the latest toy!

However, despite it’s constant irritation, 六筒 received lots of attention and love from the entire family.

It gets the privilege of sleeping on us while we do our things.

It’s very own “bed”…

Extra-care baths…

Became Simba from Lion King…

Gets to play with Ah Huay favourite toys…

And also, get to eat and drink from Ah Huay’s bowls.

All these is adding up and making Ah Huay super jealous. You can tell he isn’t happy because he doesn’t show us affection as frequent. He often sits in a corner and watches us play with the little one while his jealousy grows, as well as anger.

He even hissed and clawed at 六筒 a couple of times right under our watchful eyes.

Before you get it wrong, we still love Ah Huay and of course shows him that we do… He just doesn’t seem to like the company of the younger cat.

One day…

Our dearest Ah Huay cannot take it any further…

LOL!

Nah, don’t worry. Ah Huay may be vicious but he should never kill a kitten… In fact, he seems to be starting to accept 六筒 after the past few days.

AH HUAY! We still love you lah! =)

One last note before I leave; I CAN’T FOR SUNDAY! OUR TRIP TO AFAMOSA! WOOHOO!

King Dino

Remember Dino?

That cute little lizard I saved from my brutal cat, which later died a terrible death of hunger and thus made me a cruel person who deserve to be a lizard my next life.

You people so dramatic lo

Last night, it suddenly occurred to me that my room’s desk is getting rather untidy. Being a completely organized person(I am only being sarcastic here), I decided that I should pack things up and discard the other junks that are really not necessary.

While packing one of the higher shelves, I discovered a familiar blue box.

You guessed it. Yes, it was the very same container I kept Dino in while it was alive, also, the same container which I still kept Dino in even after it died.

To think of it, it has been roughly a month since I last mentioned the poor smelly reptile.

And here it is, after a whole long month, black, skinny, solid, still with its paper wings securely attached on its now emaciated back, dead and still in the container!!!

Something new this time… it oozes whiffs of ROTTING SMELL!!!

YUCK!

And hor… it no longer has eyes leh!!! Why is it that it no longer has eyes just because it dies? Wow that rhyme was not intentional at all…

So I was saying, it doesn’t have eyes! It is just two empty eye sockets gazing inanely back at you, monstrous!

Are my eyes going to vanish, leaving my face with two hideously frightening empty sockets when I die as well?! That’s so scary!

The eyes should be there forever because it’s the most beautiful and enthralling feature of a face… especially when your iris is any colour but black. Hehe, you must be thinking what is iris right…?

It’s the dark circular portion of your eye, which I used to confuse with the pupils.

Ok let’s not get to deep into the topic. Let’s move back to Dino.

So I was thinking, since I was the one responsible for Dino’s death(though it probably wouldn’t survive for long if I didn’t captured it because of the vicious cat in my house), I should be accountable for it to attain proper burial.

There are quite a number of different entombments to go along with the many religions and belief.

I don’t quite want to burn it because it’s disgusting to burn a dead lizard. And I didn’t want to smell the smoke. Besides, some funny people will call me crueller than ever…

I also didn’t want to bury it, simply because I have no backyard at my house. I live in a simple 5 room HDB flat so it’s troublesome if I have to go all the way downstairs to bury the dead thing.

In addition, those two burial methods are completely usual hence boring. I wanted to something ancient…

Like the ancient Egyptians’ way of entombment: Mummification.

Mwahahahahaha…

To mummify a person, you will first have to empty the body, which also means slicing the body apart and taking out every organ, except the heart for some reasons…

Eh, I don’t think I have to do anything to Dino lah, it’s already completely shrivelled and hardened.

Therefore I started the wrapping of the body with tissue paper.

I know I know, I’m doing a horrible job.

I took quite sometime to do that because I didn’t really want to touch something so smelly.

Almost done…

After wrapping the entire Dino with tissue paper, including it’s paper wings, I laid it in a casket made of white-blue-tack.

And finally… it’s done. Behold my wonderful Egyptian creation…

CUTE!

Although not very Egyptian-ish, but hor, does it reminds you of some Pokemon?!

I went through all 490 Pokemon pictures just to find that picture lo... I remember the last time I played Pokemon Red on my brother’s Game Boy only got roughly 100 Pokemons lo, why suddenly 390 more appear?!

Overlook the Pokemon, let’s get back to The Great King Dino. All hail the new mummy…

BO LIAO!

Mwahahahahaha… Now, enough of your nasty condemning of me being cruel hor. I could have simply throw it away but I chose to bear with all awful stenches and turn it from gross to cute.

Therefore, I am kind. Hehe.
