I TURNED 18! Part 2.

I had finished editing all the pictures by Tuesday(super fast of me right?) but I didn’t update till today simply because…

I FELL SICK!

Very poor thing right, falling sick the week right after my birthday…

I went to school on Monday despite having a terrible flu and slight sore throat, but by Tuesday morning I was coughing and feeling so feverish, (though the flu has stopped) and thus went to the doctor.

The kind doctor gave me MC for 2 days, not too bad lah, hehe.

Although I was staying home that 2 days to rest I decided not to blog because I didn’t had to mood to do so. My head was aching too badly I couldn’t type anything.

It was so weird, I have all the symptoms of a fever and feel exactly like how one would feel when down with a fever, but I just don’t have fever!

The dreadful illness must be due to the huge amount of unhealthy fried food I gorged on my birthday lor! Plus the recent bad rainy weather!!! Tsk tsk tsk…

Anyway, after the little celebration in school that Friday(my birthday), I went home excitedly to change and prepare before meeting up all my good friends!!!

So nice to just have your best friends, the people whom you know would never betray you, celebrating your birthday with you.

We headed to Han River at Eastpoint for dinner.

Just having to warn you, Han River is completely NOT WORTH IT AT ALL!!!

I don’t know about their charge for lunchtime, but the dinner charge was unacceptable! The nett price for each person was roughly $26, which was OK for buffet restaurants.

However, since it’s buffet, shouldn’t the drinks be free flow?! They had an additional charge for drinks, which was $10 per jug for soft drinks, and each jug can fill up only 7 cups! (Mind you the cups were filled with ice some more, so drink only few mouths empty already lor!)

They don’t serve ice water either, so its either you order their expensive drinks or don’t drink!

And nope, it’s not some high-class buffet restaurant lor, it’s just like Seoul Garden just with slightly bigger variety and it’s not so smoky… Well, that’s one good point lah.

Ok, I should stop complaining.

Ok lah may not look that good but it tastes very nice one lor!!! I put extra extra lots of butter so it’s super yummy! It’s not too hard nor soft, just nice, very chewy and tender… HAHAHA!

Each of us were to pick food items from the wide spread of buffet and hide it in a cup. No raw or inedible items were allowed.

The cups were later jumbled up and randomly hand out back to us, whatever you receive will be your fear factor!

I was the only one who fail leh! I really HATE tomatoes and I just couldn’t swallow it!

I bravely hurled one into my mouth thinking “so small one die one lah”. But as soon as I started chewing… the gross taste of the tomato burst into my mouth!!!

It tastes like a sugarless grape with a more vegetable-ish taste. I hate it completely… After suffering much vomiting sensations while trying hard to swallow my fear factor, I spat it all out.

I was then told to eat a slice of star fruit instead. Walau eh, just as gross but I managed to swallow it this time.

Alice and Gloria went to get the entire Han River to sing me a birthday song, literally! All the staffs were around, and even the neighboring tables were singing leh! MADNESS I TELL YOU!

I TURNED 18! Part 1.

Thank God it was a Friday! No, I am not referring to today but my eighteen birthday that was on the 22nd of August!

I AM 18 ALREADY LEH!!! I can legally buy cigarettes, alcohol, 4d, toto, have sexy tattoos, enter most clubs and watch M18 movies!! Oh and! I can go and obtain driving license already!

All so abruptly!

Anyway, I have been thinking if I should wait till I collect all the pictures from Alice and then updating altogether but I think it would be too lengthy and besides, I am staying home today and I’ve got nothing much (besides, er-hem, the school assignments which I am heavily behind) to do.

Thus I have decided to split my birthday entry into two parts, part 1 and 2.

Well I guess I will only be able to get the remaining pictures from Alice on Monday and by the time I finish editing the pictures, I should be able to update again by Thursday…

Painting Paris!

I finally did some painting last Thursday after I came home from school. I feel so much better after finally finding time and do what I wanted to do…

So anyway, as you can tell from the title of this entry, I painted Paris!

Not Paris the location, but Paris the celebrity, heiress, socialite, actress, singer, entrepreneur, reality TV star, Nicole Richie’s bff, Benji Madden’s gf, accidental porn star, fashion designer, dumb blonde or bimbo you might say, and the list can actually go on but I decide to stop here.

Well, so if you’re still wondering which famous Paris is that, it’s Paris Hilton.

I wanted to paint a famous person and decided to paint Paris out of anyone else simply because I think she’s the easiest to draw, and paint.

Besides, she’s sexeh and cool and I love her so why not?

Based on a hot picture of her wearing only her lingerie that I found from the internet, I did my painting on an old cardboard from my house…

Talking about tan, I still haven’t go tanning leh! Was supposed to go yesterday but everyone including myself, was too tired so never go lor. Ughhh…

SINGFEST 08!

Finally, a proper entry complete with pictures, lots of pictures to be exact.

As you should already know, I attended Singfest on Sunday, all thanks to Krinz’s very kind mother for the ticket!

On Saturday, I went out with Gloria and Krinz to do some retail therapy, ended up buying 2 T-shirts and a slightly retro looking watch.

I am not too satisfied cause I wanted to buy another watch instead, which was nicer and cheaper but out of stock! Actually not out of stock lah but only left the display piece so I refused to buy lor. Oh well…

Anyway…

We decided to go home early that night to sleep so that we could wake up early for the event the next day.

I didn’t get too excited about Singfest till Saturday night when I realized that I was going to meet so many stars the next day!

Being EXTREMELY kiasu, Gloria and Krinz came up with a brilliant plan of waking up at 5AM so that we could meet up earlier for breakfast before queuing like a typical Singaporean would.

For your information, the concert was schedule to start only at 3PM.

I wasn’t very keen about the whole idea of waking up THAT early but I didn’t had a choice because they were persistent about queuing early for a better view since it will be a free standing event.

Poor me went to bed at almost 2am that night and woke up at 5! Hardly had any sleep at all!


It was almost 8am when we reached the venue.

The place was pretty quiet with a group of aunties and uncles practicing their very sexy tai-ji. Sitting by the queue was only about 10 people.

I swear those people are certified super kiasu Singaporeans lor! Hardcore fans.

Surprisingly, the event area wasn’t enclosed when we got there, and we actually went straight in!

Tsk tsk, very terrible organizing and security right?!

I mean, imagine someone without a ticket just enter and hide in the toilets and only come out when the concert starts, nobody knows lor! Sheryl, you should have done that!


We were completely shock at first when we saw the stage lor, we thought it was going to be like so small! Thankfully that was the second stage, for the local bands.

We managed to explore for a while before an event crew approached us to ask how we got in. The dude didn’t know the doors were all widely opened for us to simply enter…

We then went to have our breakfast before joining the other kiasu people. By the time we got back it was about an hour later and there was already about 50 people at the queue!

With that, it was the beginning of a really long wait. I’ll call it, the “Crazy Wait”. And it is divided into 3 parts.

Part 1: We waited all the way from 9 plus AM all the way till noon time(roughly 3 hours) when they finally allowed us to move forward to the front of the entrance.

Mind you, we were only allowed to move to the front of the entrance, NOT entering!

While Gloria chats on the phone I decided to peep into her bag to see what she have brought along and made some, very odd discoveries…

Part 2: We continued the Crazy Wait at the entrance for another hour and a half before we officially enter the event area, but only to wait ONCE AGAIN at the 2nd entrance to the main stage.

Part 3: It was at this point of the Crazy Wait where the queue scattered and there was no longer a queue. People were just crowding around the gate as if the first person to go in will win Toto.

So much for the waking up early and being first in the queue…

I thought the organizing of the whole thing was just purely bad, because those kiasu people who came so early to queue might no longer enter first. How unfair isn’t it?

Ok back to the Crazy Wait.


Standing outside the gate in a crowd was the worst part of the whole waiting.

People were pushing and packed together, causing it to be extremely warm. Not mentioning the scorching sun that is killing everyone that day.

$200 for this kind of management, walau eh. Unlike the concerts at the Indoor Stadium, got aircon plus seats so much better lor...

Talking about concerts at indoor stadium, WE(the same three of us) HAVE BOUGHT TICKETS TO AVRIL CONCERT ALREADY.

Will go into more of that later, back to Singfest.

At last, at about 2.45PM, after almost 6 hours of waiting altogether, the gate finally opened and people were literally dashing towards the stage. Seriously, they were like really running, as if for their lives!

But honestly speaking, we were also running lah. Hahaha! Very excited what!!!

We quickly find a good spot and settle down. Wasn’t too near the stage lah, roughly 1 and a half to 2 classrooms length. It definitely wasn’t far from the stage either. Good view.

The first scheduled performer was Stacie Orrico, she was supposed to perform at 3 but she didn’t appear till half an hour later. Well, stars are always expected to be late, for sure!

Talking about tan, the stupid sun that day caused me to have an uneven tan on my arms now! The heat from the sun also caused some rashes on my hands. ): These few days is so freaking warm!!! Gloria, Krinz, Sheryl, Xuan, when wanna go tanning?!?!

Each of the artistes performed for an average of an hour. In between were stage preparations which may took up to 30 minutes. Snail.


That’s not the only look-alike we saw that day, there’s a couple more coming on later.

Next up was the boring Jamie Scott and The Town.


He couldn’t stop complaining about the heat, saying it was ridiculous. Standing in a packed crowd with a hot blazing sun was like, 20 times worst hor!




Krinz and I decided to leave his performance to get some drinks before we die of dehydration and become salted fishes.

To obtain F&B there you gotta exchange cash into coupons before making any purchase. And mind you the things there are really expensive lor, $10 for a freaking kebab.

For a bottle of plain water it’s $2, still not too bad lah. We bought 6 bottles.

Anyhow, we came across the local bands stage and…


I really pity the local bands, look at the small audience! I surely very sad if I am one of the local bands performing.


More camwhoring while waiting for the next act, ONE REPUBLIC! I think I saw Popeye watching the concert behind Krinz.

The crowd went crazy when One Republic came on stage.

It was until the song ended and when he tried to say something, he realize the mic was not working. Dumb… no offense Panic fans(it rhymes!).

The sky went dark very soon after, and it was Jason Mraz’s turn to perform. Those two friends whom we made went completely mad.

Don’t know got wash the undies one or not lor… Eww imagine if it’s smelly… HAHAHA!

After about an hour of hot dancing and singing, the PCDs ended their show. Very sad lah. ):

But they mentioned that they will be having a world tour next year, I so have to watch them again!!! I am officially a PCD fan!

On a random note, this entry is getting really long and dreary isn’t it?

By then it was already past like 11pm and the crowd was almost dead. To make things worst, Alicia Keys was singing all her songs except her singles. How boring.

I CAN’T BELIEVE WE ACTUALLY LEFT A CONCERT!

Very mad right! I’m sure after we left she started singing all of her hits lor cause all the stars were keeping their hits for the last, except for the awesome PCD which performed all their hits!

Anyway, when we left I realized that I still had a $10 coupon which I exchanged for earlier. Since it would be useless after the event I decided to just spend it.

I bought a fucking can of Red Bull and a bottle of Coke.

Cashier didn’t have $1 couple to change me. Asshole. Damn expensive lah!!!

I felt cheated lor, how can a stupid can of Red Bull be $6?! I can buy a whole McDonald's meal plus UPSIZE already leh! And the stupid coke, just a 5ooml bottle need $3 meh, I can buy the 1.5L one at other place lor!

As I mentioned much earlier in the entry, I bought AVRIL LAVIGNE concert tickets already!!!

Damn happy and excited for it! Tomorrow would be exactly 1 month from it! My God! I’ve been waiting for it for sooo long, too long actually.

We bought the $165 tickets that were the most expensive. Hope the view is good!

On a completely different note, I have a raging urge to paint for almost one week already! I just have to paint, and need to paint, but I haven’t got the time to do so.

All of sudden it seems as if I have so much schoolwork to do… I think I’ll try to do some painting this Friday. Very exciting. (:

Ok, I’ll end my overly long entry here. My mom cooked dinner and its been awhile since I ate her home cooked food. Great!
