Goodbye 2008!

Just came home from supper with Mr Jason, Nabs and my dear Alice Chua who is ever crazy… We went to Bedok 85 to eat my favourite BBQ stingray and or-lwa!!!

Ok I don’t know how to spell that or-lwa but it’s that super yummy fried oyster thingy… I don’t eat the yucky oysters though.

Very satisfying but fattening at the same time, sigh…

Anyway that is not the point of this entry… Er hem!

TODAY’S 31ST OF DECEMBER WHICH MARKS THE LAST DAY OF 2008!!!!! OMG…… 2008 is coming to an end in less than 24 hours!!!!!

Therefore, I am going to dedicate this entry to the major happenings that took place in this pretty much amazing year, beginning with the oldest and ending with the most recent events.

Uh… Something like a recollection of 2008. Ok here goes…

In 2008…

I joined ITE and came into an awesome class with even better classmates. Well, despite a few bizarre and unusual ones around like the Italian lover(you know who you are), it is still amazing and I love my class! (:


I made some really fun and crazy(Alice you have to admit its you) friends from school this year and came across the coolest and best teachers ever!!!


Together with my classmates and teachers I went for an actual hike for the first time ever. A killing 6 hours hike to be precise. Came across some incredible sites and loved the whole trip though I swear I almost died.




Just an excuse to post this wonderful photo again.
One of the highlights in 2008 was the Singfest concert that I attended together with Gloria and Krinz… All thanks to Krinz’s extremely kind mum who bought tickets for me.


I got to see entertainers and bands like One Republic, Alicia Keys, Panic At The Disco, Jason Mraz as well as The Pussycat Dolls which I immediately fell in love with!!!


This is a little random but I thought I’d just add it in… I painted Miss Paris Hilton.


And the sexy painting of her is currently sitting right behind me. I have yet to frame it or anything, ugh… I’m planning to draw a family portrait… Hmmm…

On the 22nd of August 2008... I turned 18!

Finally legal to drive, smoke, club, drink and watch M18 movies!


I don’t smoke though, neither do I drink(I hardly drink anything before I already turn red). And I couldn’t even be bothered to go obtain driving license, lazy and expensive.


I celebrated my birthday with all my best of friends and was really happy about it, though it was really simple. (:

And… I received a bra for my birthday… Yes, BRA!

A couple days after my birthday I got my Nokia E71 which I am still using currently and I love it. I know I know, this isn’t really a major event of 2008 but heck just recollecting.


Ok, here’s a true MAJOR event!

I went for Avril Lavigne’s Best Damn Tour concert!!!


Getting to see Avril Lavigne, my favourite singer of all time perform was one of my dreams come true. I was on cloud nine for sure. Definitely a huge event in 2008 that I’ll remember!

In 2008 I saw the F1 race for the first time ever. Nope, I didn’t got the tickets to watch it but I managed to catch glimpse of the cars zipping pass. Hello, better than nothing lor!


And I remember how I was so thrilled about the cars while Gloria and Krinz was so bored and took their own sweet time having dinner so I couldn’t go watch the race lor! Evil.

2008 was almost as fast as those cars…!

I attend my cousin’s Grace wedding in October this year…


Congratulations once again, Grace.

And for the first time ever, my friends and I dressed up and celebrated Halloween.


It was crazily fun celebrating Halloween, my “vampire-ish costume” was lame though. Next year could be better!

Talking about vampire, I’m now on the second book of Twilight(New Moon) already!

I’m so hooked on to the books! The stories are so awesome but I feel that Edward should just bite Bella so she can remain young or else 50 years later Edward will suddenly realise he’s dating a grandma!

Er hem, back to the recollection of 2008.

Also for the first time ever, I went overseas for a school trip. I’ve never gone overseas with school before!


It was great and I had a lot of fun hanging out with the people of 1P and gossiping about the group of turn offs in 1A and machine girl! Hahahaha, woops, did I mention 1A?

And because of the trip, I got to experience the village home stay which I have to admit I hate, but at the same time happy about the whole experience.

I got myself a new pair of spectacles this year.


For your information, I have been using my previous spectacles since I was 14. After 4 years, I deserve a new pair of glasses!

Also for the first time, I went to a teacher’s wedding. Well it’s none other than Mr. Vincey.


Definitely a highlight because its not everyday teacher’s invite you to their weddings. Vince was really cool to invite us!

Made lots of new friends in 2008.


And last but not least, I got closer than ever to my best friends and I love them forever!

There are a couple of other major happenings that took place this year which I deliberately missed out…

Anyway, I just want to wish everyone a happy new year. I’ve my resolutions for 2009 ready but I’ve decided on not posting them, haha.

Oh and and and! I HAVE to make a new year wish! :D

X'mas!

Omg can you believe X’mas is already over and in less than a week 2009 is approaching!!!

I have so very much to talk about 2008 which is almost over in a flicker but well I guess I shall leave that for the next entry…

It’s boxing day today!!! Well, like you and I even care… I don’t even know what is the purpose of it and what do people actually do on the day… but I’m quite sure it definitely doesn’t mean boxing up things and throwing them away.

Which is, erm, exactly what my parents are doing at the moment.

I have to monitor them just incase they try to sneakily throw away my stuffs… My dad has the tendency to discard every single thing… The last time I checked he threw away my birthday presents but thankfully I got them back in time.

Anyway, I didn’t go countdown in town for X’mas this year!!! How glad…

On the eve of Christmas I met up with Liyi which I have yet to see for like a million years!!!

We used to be really close since we were like 14 and then she disappeared from the face of earth for like 2 years and reappeared magically as Estella, hahaha!

So we went for dinner together and catch up a lot on each other before meeting Deidrea and Gloria for… well, clubbing. Yes, AGAIN.


I know I dressed really casually and non-Christmasy at all right!!!

Liyi was pretty X’mas-ish with her blue dress and Deidrea’s green dress was Christmas tree-ish whereas my salmon coloured t-shirt was completely non-christmas-ish! Ughh…


Surprisingly, Gloria had make up on that night! She had mascara and coloured lenses on, making her eyes prettier than ever!

Anyhow, in conjunction to the Christmas countdown there was a foam snow spray thingy at the dance floor. Most people seem to like it but we were all trying to avoid the foam cause it destroys our hair.

And talking about hair, I was having a bad hair day that night! Ughhh...


I hope that was real snow… I’ve never seen snow before!!! I’m so gonna have to make a snowman one day!!!

School’s reopening really soon!!!

Roughly 10 days and I’ll be back in school! Back to having to wake up early in the morning, no more late night sleeps, back to having lunch in the canteen and drinking my favourite fruit juices, back to uniforms and hour long bus trips plus more assignments and more things to do!

And I want to go get a haircut soon!!! My hair is getting too long at the back and bad hair days are getting too frequent.

Anyway I’m halfway through Twilight already!!! I know I know, I’m a super slow reader right?! I have to read through some sentences like twice just to know what it’s trying to say.

Well maybe it’s because I like picturing every single detail I read…

Omg X'mas is reaching!

Well I just came back from shopping with Irys and I’m so happy cause it’s not very frequently that I get to shop! :D

I wanted to blog this before I went shopping but the stupid Photobucket was under maintainance so I had to wait till now…

Anyhow…

Christmas is approaching so so so quickly!!!

Tomorrow’s X’mas eve already and then the day after is X’mas day itself already!!! And 6 days after X’mas it’s 2009 already and in the brand new year I’ll be turning 19 and I’ll turn year two in school which makes me a senior!! Hahaha! How fast is that!

However, this year’s Christmas does not seem very exciting… Well except for the present part, hahaha!

I am so sick of counting down in town armed with cans of foam spray, protecting myself from other stupid aggressors.

Firstly it’s WAY too crowded and warm and smelly! Secondly, I’ve done it too many times it’s getting really boring. Ugh…

I would rather just have a nice simple Christmas dinner with loads of wonderful food at home with all my loved ones… Sweet.

Speaking of Christmas dinner, Alice and I went to Gloria’s family annual X’mas party last Saturday!

So many people couldn’t make it this year lor!! Only Alice and I went! Deidrea and Irys said they’ll try to come but they didn’t make it. Sheryl was busy with her bf. Coewe the workaholic is working as usual and Krinz, needless to say…

On Sunday was my family BBQ and I invited my younger days friends along. It’s been awhile since my family had any chalets or BBQ so it was pretty fun and I enjoyed it. :D

And on another random note, I am now reading Twilight the book after watching the awesome movie!! I'm only 1/3 throughout the book and I can already tell the book is like a million times better than the movie! There's so much more details in the book!!!

Speaking of Twilight I am going to shower now and then go and try completing another 3 chapters! Ok got to go now…

Partying weekend...

I know I haven’t update for more than a week and you are totally bored of looking at my stupid baby pictures and thus my blog is almost dead!

Well I have been very busy with the holidays! Ok maybe not… The holidays have been pretty boring so far, well besides the usual partying weekends. (Mr Krinzy you are missing out a lot you know…)

Erm, ok lah actually it’s not my X’mas party but my family’s having a chalet and my elder sister planned a BBQ and I can invite all my friends to stay over and we can play mah-jong or something! How fun and exciting!! Ok I think I sounded really childish.

Gloria and Deidrea came over to my place to dress up and have dinner before we headed for the high school themed party on Sunday. We felt so back to school! Erm, it’s not that I am no longer in school just… back to Jyss.

Vincey's Wedding!

I’m so tired and I have to sleep but just felt like blogging before going to bed.

I went to school this morning and stayed there all the way till like 6.30 pm which is so freaking late!

It’s supposed to be the holidays at the moment lor (I think) but we have to go back to complete the unfinished assignments. Sigh.

But I’m glad that I went back today to finish my Flash website assignment or I’ll be in deep shit!

In a couple of days time the exams would be here, followed by a final presentation and the holidays have officially started! Ha! How exciting!

I’m totally in the holiday mood already! Damn…

Anyway, last Sunday I attend my class adviser, Vince, wedding dinner!

Only Kimberly and Alice was invited initially cause they were bridesmaids to Vincey’s wife but Kimberly say she cannot make it to the dinner so Vince replaced her with me.

Of course I am happy cause who doesn’t love wedding dinners?!

Wonderful bliss ambience and even better food what’s there not to like! Anyway in the end Kimberly also came for the dinner so we three were all there. Mwahahaha…
